Puppy Kindergarten
Who: For puppies age 8 weeks to 5
months
What: This fun 6-week course
covers all the basic obedience
commands (such as Sit, Stay, Down,
Heel, Drop, Off, and Come) as well
as puppy ownership basics
including socialization, handling, and
problem-solving for chewing,
playbiting, barking, digging, stealing,
pulling on the lead and jumping.
Only the most advanced positive
reinforcement techniques are used
(no pain, physical manipulation,
choke chains or traditional jerk & pull
methods).
Puppy Kindergarten teaches you, the
owner, how to train your pup now and
in the future: Your pup’s success will
depend on you and your family’s
willingness to practice several times
daily as well as to read several
articles and other handouts supplied
during the course.

What to Bring:
Health Requirements: Healthy, flea-free, and current on Distemper/Parvo and Bordatella vaccinations.
Note: Many exercises are easier if two household members are present. Parents, we encourage you to bring well-
behaved children to class.

- Your dog’s regular dinner in a baggie (do not feed him dinner on class nights; we will use what you bring as a
training aid) - Your dog’s regular leash and collar.

| HEALTH REQUIREMENTS All dogs must be healthy, flea-free, and show written proof of current distemper/parvo and Bordatella vaccinations or titers. Dogs over 5 months of age must also show proof of current rabies vaccination or titer. Dogs over 7 months must also be spayed or neutered for all services except grooming and private consultation. |
